    Radioactive Material Transport Users Committee
    Third Radioactive Materials Transport Seminar
    Wednesday 28 October 2009
The Conference Centre, Birchwood Park, Warrington Including presentations by the Department for Transport and Transport Container Standardisation Committee (TCSC)

    SEMINAR SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES

The Radioactive Material Transport Users Committee (RAMTUC) is the industry's forum for development of strategy and policy regarding the regulations for the safe transport of radioactive material. The Transport Container Standardisation Committee (TCSC) examines the requirements for the safe transport of radioactive material with a view to standardisation and, as appropriate, produces and maintains guidance in the form of standards documentation.

This seminar provides a forum for organisation and site representatives of RAMTUC member companies to meet with DfT and TCSC representatives and hear updates on topical issues. For this seminar RAMTUC has decided to invite a limited number of non member companies to provide them with access normally reserved to members. It provides an environment in which the industry can exchange views on developing regulatory and industry issues and help develop best practice.

This seminar will focus on an in depth presentations from DfT on a number of key topics and we will hear from TCSC on industry standards.

An end of seminar discussion panel will provide additional opportunity to explore the key issues raised during the presentations and allow full audience participation.

Use the registration form at the end of this flyer to reserve your place at this popular event.
